This full-time permanent position offers the right candidate with a greenfields opportunity to create and implement the overall communications strategy for CSE Crosscom. This strategy will engage with internal and external stakeholders to increase brand and product awareness during a significant period of growth for the company. Hope & Glory are pleased to be working with The Department of Education and Training (DET) in their search for a Director, Portfolio Communications. Portfolio Communications provides strategic communications advisory and client service delivery to DET’s three portfolios; Early Childhood Education, Schools and Higher Education and Skills. It comprises specialist strategy teams to deliver strategic communications to internal and external audiences.
Reporting to the Executive Director, Communications, the Director, Portfolio Communications will sit on the management team and is responsible for leading a team to provide high-level strategic communications, drive senior stakeholder relationships and provide specialist strategic communications advice related to all key audiences including public, corporate and sector workforce.

The Public Communications Branch is responsible for advocacy, public affairs, issue management and engaging with Victorians on education issues and services. This is achieved via media relations, stakeholder management, public affairs communications and event management.
Reporting to the Executive Director, Communications, this outstanding career opportunity is responsible for providing high level public affairs advice to Ministerial Offices, the Secretary and Executive Board. As a member of the management team, this role is directly responsible for budget, resource and contract management as well as the development of a large team of staff through mentoring, professional development and workload management.
